What is the ChariTEA of the Quarter all about?

When we set up Bird & Blend back in 2012, we knew we wanted to create a company that gave back to the world & the communities that we worked within. We are passionate about supporting causes that are close to our hearts, helping the people & environment around us, so our ChariTEA (did you see what we did there?) of the Quarter was born. Supporting causes we love through tea seemed like the pretty perfect move for us!

Every three months, we choose a different charity to work with & support them through the profits of their chosen tea blend, along with campaigns that our fans & customers get involved in too.

During this time, all of the profits that we make from the online sales of our ChariTEA blend go straight to that charity or cause. This Quarter, our ChariTEA Plantlife has chosen Bedknobs & Broomsticks tea.🧹

Who are Plantlife & how do they help?

Plantlife is a charity devoted to protecting the UK’s wild plants, fungi & the natural places they call home. It cares for a network of nature reserves & works across landscapes like grasslands, peatlands & temperate rainforests to help restore habitats & bring back the richness & colour of native plant life.

Blending practical conservation with advocacy, community projects & creative campaigns, it's work helps people reconnect with nature. Plantlife also supports rare & threatened species, leads habitat restoration projects & encourages simple everyday actions that help wild plants thrive.

In short, it champions the wild spaces that make the UK feel alive, from the smallest mosses to sweeping meadow landscapes, & aims to inspire us all to notice, protect & celebrate them.

No May Mow Movement: Do more by doing less

Plantlife’s No Mow May Movement invites people to put down the mower, have a cuppa & let nature take the lead. By letting green spaces grow freely, we give pollinators essential food sources at a crucial time of year. It’s a simple act that can lead to incredible biodiversity benefits… a true “do more by doing less” moment.
