We are incredibly excited to show you our lovingly hand-crafted clay matcha bowls developed by the very talented Mark from Potters Thumb, in collaboration with Bird & Blend Founder, Krisi.
Krisi & Mark developed the design over many months, discussing all things shape, groove, sip & glaze. We finally settled on our final part matt, part glazed design with a gorgeous blue glaze on the top outer of the bowl and a speckled white on the inside - so you can really see the green of your matcha powder when whisking!
Matcha Bowls were created so you can whisk your matcha green tea powder. Traditionally, people would put a serving of matcha in the bowl, add a splash of warm water and whisk with a Bamboo Matcha Whisk, before transferring into their cup.

I was hesitant to buy one of these as I have a gazillion mugs & figured I could just use those but I went ahead & bought one, more to support an independant maker to be honest. I have now bought 3 & won't drink my Matcha out of anything else, I love these bowls, it's all part of my morning ritual, they make me smile & appreciate my Tea that much more!
