    not for me

"This was my first time trying roobois and I think roobois simply isn't for me because the tea tasted like vile medicine and bitter old wood bark to me. So my review is more a reflection of my personal experience than the tea itself. Bird and Blend was wonderfully kind and sent me a replacement which I'm very appreciative for."

    Warming and moreish

"Really lovely chai blend. I have mine with oatmilk, heating gently on the stovetop and letting it steep for a while as it absorbs all those lovely wintry notes. I’ve even had seconds it’s that good!"

    — C s. (5/5)

    Q&A

I am going to ordered some tea for a Christmas present, do you sell tea caddies to go with it , I live in Sheffield, Thank you
Hi Madeline! We have a pre-packed caddy of this tea, which is discounted over Christmas! https://www.birdandblendtea.com/products/gingerbread-chai-tea-caddy Anna @ B&B
Hi, I was just wondering if you have the nutritional info for the teas available, pls? Are they like other teas in that they are all negligible calories without milk? Thank you
Hello Andrea - thank you for your questions - you are perfectly correct - they are like all our blends (minus our Sticky Chai's which contain honey) and are not high enough in nutritional value to be counted. Happy sipping! Andi @ B&B
I just bought this tea after sampling it in your shop in Guildford. I’ve just made at home and doesn’t taste as good as it did in the shop. What is the tea to water ratio? I think perhaps I’ve made it too weak?
Hi Hannah, Thanks for getting in touch with a great question! We recommend using 1 heaped teaspoon of loose-leaf tea in your infuser with approx 300- 350ml of water. You can always adjust the amounts and try adding more tea if needed. If you need anymore help with this please get in touch at info@birdandblendtea.com and we'll be happy to help! Happy Sipping, Claire @ B&B
Hi, I found the ginger element quite strong (I think I was expecting more of a sweet gingerbread biscuit taste). What's the best way to soften the ginger spice that hits the back of your throat? Its great when you're feeling a bit of the flu coming, but as a regular drink its a bit too sharp for me.
Hi Ruth, thanks for asking! I love this as a latte. It calms the spices a bit and makes it super cosy! https://www.birdandblendtea.com/blogs/recipes/how-to-make-black-tea-lattes
I absolutely love the taste of this tea, but I don't quite know how to make it the milky masala chai way! Can you please give some instructions on how to make it milk based? I tried brewing in just milk but that came out too weak. Is there a particular ratio of milk to water I should follow? Thanks in advance! :)
Hi Fraces, thanks for asking such a great question! I love to slowly bring mine to a very gentle simmer on the stove over the lowest heat, just in oat milk. You might also like to cold brew it in oat milk for around 8 hours and strain it out. Around 5-6 teaspoons to 750ml is about right for me. Happy Sipping! Ian @ B&B
