    Tea Powder | Low caffeine

    Pronounced 'Cookie Hoh-jee-chah'!

    Wafts of freshly baked cookies straight from the oven meet the rich, nutty taste of hojicha. Hojicha is a low caffeine alternative to matcha that makes a delicious velvety smooth tea latte that can be whisked up at any time of the day. This blend also contains maca, to help you bring all the good vibes to your day.

    100g pouch, approx 50 cups.

    Ingredients

    Japanese Hojicha Green Tea (60%), Lucuma, Maca (15%), Natural Flavouring Granules

    How to make tea powder

    How to make a hot tea powder

    • tea powder tea spoon

      Step 1

      1/2 tsp

    • tea powder tea pot

      Step 2

      Boil 150ml water to 80°

    • bamboo matcha whisking step

      Step 3

      Whisk in a 'W' shape until frothy

    • hot mug tea powder

      Step 4

      Top up with hot water or milk

    How to make iced tea powder

      Boil 150ml water to 80°

      Whisk in a 'W' shape until frothy

      Pour on top of ice with water, lemonade or milk

    Best enjoyed as a latte with oat milk. Add a dash of honey or syrup for some extra cookie sweetness!

    My new daily staple!

    The flavour hooked me the second I tried it in store, had to walk back in to buy the pouch. A small glass of the hojicha iced with honey is now my favourite way to end the day, especially paired with a biscuit or two. I haven't tried any other hojicha previously, so I can't compare it but having been a huge matcha fan for years it's been a very interesting transition.

    Very artificial tasting, weak hojicha flavour

    I love the matcha ice cream, birthday cake and salted caramel flavours, so when I saw this on the shelves got really excited. The lady at the shop also said it was really good but they weren't doing samples as the weather was too hot. Being a Hojicha fan, I blind bought this. It's only 60% hojicha so the deep roasted flavour is just not there, even when I put a larger amount of powder. The cookie flavouring is incredibly artificial tasting and nauseating unlike the matcha flavours I love. Sad 😪 wanted to love this one but didn't. Probably going in the bin.
