    Underwhelming

"Tried this from my magical selection box and was disappointed. Smells amazing in the tin and after mixing with water but once added to my frothed oat milk I could taste anything and ended up adding some zero cal salted caramel syrup. From the smell I expected full on flavour. It don’t even taste of matcha. I’m loving the other flavours so far so I’m still glad I bought the selection box but I won’t be buying anymore of this one."

    matcha

"I love this drink so much, I go in store to get a matcha drink it is my go to. I have bought it in shop and it is amazing."

    Crystal (5/5)

    Only 48% matcha 😳

"Ok for £22 for a teeny 30 g of matcha I expect it to be Matcha . This is brown in colour tastes nothing like matcha ,and is less than 48% actual matcha powder . Shocked and now looking for alternatives . This should be labelled ‘ Matcha flavoured drink ‘ not sure how bird and blend get round the legalities of labelling this ceramonial matcha powder ,and flogging it for £22 🤔"

    Simply yummie.

"This is my go to. It is not over powering, but smooth and easily blends with vanilla bean, and a little salted honey."

    Ashley P. (5/5)

    Not as advertised

"I purchased a tin of this yesterday from their physical shop, however the colour looked brown when I opened it and it tasted like dishwater. I had it in the advent calander and it was lovely, but this time it didn't taste or look like matcha at all. The salted caramel on their website says it has 80 % matcha in it, but on the tin I had it said there was only 48 % matcha. I don't know if the shop sold me an old batch or if they've changed their recipe, but it's now more cocoa than actual matcha."

    Gemma (1/5)

    Smooth

"I really like this flavour it’s smooth and creamy when added to a little frothed milk I tried it in my selection pack Gentle aroma of caramel not overpowering"

    Hannah (5/5)

Like a caramely chocolate drink !

"This matcha was Lovely ! Even though it didn’t have any matcha taste, it was like drinking an iced chocolate drink with a hint of caramel ! Regarding the colour after wisking the powder, it looked like Hojisha ! I had it with barista coconut milk, and it was very nice !"

    Mathilde (4/5)

    Lovely, warming and moreish.

"I hadn't tried matcha before, so wasn't sure what to expect, but I was really impressed with this blend. The tea itself was light, frothy and refreshing, with warm notes of caramel underlying it, but the caramel levels were not overpowering. I haven't tried the cold version of the drink yet, but I will do. Really enjoyed it and will be trying some of the other matcha blends on offer."

    Sarah H. (5/5)

    Love this

"I absolutely hooked on the salted caramel matcha. It is my favourite cold not tried it hot. Such a quick delivery service too. Thank you"

    Q&A

Are the white small granules normal? They were in the two tins I ordered. Also, it was a very unappealing dark green and tasted very bitter.
Hi Aisha, Thanks for your question! The small granules are the flavour carrier granules and they dissolve on brewing so no need to worry! Our flavoured matchas can sometimes appear a little darker in colour due to the flavourings in them - for instance the Salted Caramel Matcha contains Cocoa Powder which will darken the green colour. Your Matcha shouldn't taste bitter - this does sound like it could be burnt. Try this: 1. Add 1 Perfect Matcha Spoon (half a teaspoon) of your chosen matcha into a bowl 2. Add a splash of warm water (roughly 80 degrees so we don't burn the matcha powder) 3. Whisk in a 'W' shape until frothy. You can use a bamboo matcha whisk or a handheld electric whisk (we sell both!). Your matcha should be clump-free & have lots of frothy bubbles! From here you can turn it into a hot matcha, latte, iced matcha, or lovely iced matcha lemonade! I hope this helps! Get in touch if you need anymore help. Thanks Katie @ B&B
